Summary
Our resort is situated at Ark Walk Park, 17 Howard Ave, Chartwell, Fourways on a 23 acre plot. We have 3 extra large kennels for large size dogs and a separate 9 kennels for medium dogs. We have a beach resort for small breed dogs which consists of 6 rooms and is catered to all small dog needs.
All rooms are heated for winter. Chicken and egg and simple food is cooked daily.
There are 9 rooms for small/medium dogs which all have there own grassed garden.
We only have 3 luxury rooms for medium/large sized dogs which can accommodate a family of 4 dogs.
We have 5 separate play areas where our dogs can play and relax with other dogs they are comfortable with. They are supervised around the clock as our team all live on the property and Tracy and Kristy have direct access to the kennel area from their homes.
Music is piped through the kennels which soothes the dogs, continual interaction with humans and dogs throughout the day, swimming ponds to keep cool, misters in each kennel, trees for shade, heaters in winter that are solar powered and lots of interactive activities and toys. Our kennels are large with cute, comfortable houses for resting and sleeping.
Dogs socialise with the other guests during the day and only use their rooms to sleep in or have quiet time if needed. To get the best experience dogs will need to be socialised with other dogs.
We take the physical and emotional happiness of all dogs in our care very seriously. All dogs have different emotional needs and we aim to cater to each one individually.
We provide standard Jock pellets as well as a daily home cooked meal if your dog is allowed to eat this. Any specific pellets or meals please bring along for your dog as well as any medication that needs to be administered. Our team ran a veterinary clinic for 8 years so are able to monitor and administer medications.
our guests are kept entertained and stimulated most of the day so come bed time they are exhausted.

Our team has had 12 years experience running a puppy and dog rescue and adoption centre. We have learnt what is important to a dogs physical and mental wellbeing and cater to both of these requirements. We have basic medical skills so can administer medications and monitor any health issues.

We left our little boy Fusilli with Tracy and Kristy and once again we were so happy! They are so amazing and caring to our boy and we couldn’t think of leaving him with anyone else when we go away! We got video and picture updates and in every one, he looked so happy! He loves playing with his fur friends and absolutely adores Kristy and Tracy. They treat him incredibly well and show him so much love and care 😊 they are just the best! It gives me such peace of mind knowing that he is in good hands when we are away. Thank you so much to Tracy and Kristy for looking after Fusilli and caring for him as well as you do ❤️ I highly recommend Ark Doggy Resort to anyone who needs a safe and happy place to leave their fur babies while they’re away 😊

What a wonderful place and people! Tracy is like the dog whisperer, our Chester just loved her and took to her so well. Ark is peaceful and perfect, Chester loved roaming around the gardens and getting spoiled. I can honestly say that he was not happy to leave and is a little disappointed that he is not able to live the ark lifestyle every day : -) We searched for a long time to find a place where Chester would be comfortable, as he is a diabetic and requires injections twice a day. I cannot overemphasize how happy I was with how well he was taken care of and treated by the Ark family. Dogs are incredibly intelligent and often know when people have a genuine love for them, so knowing that Chester was sad to leave only further confirms how well he was treated during his stay. Tracy and her team are beyond accommodating, taking the time to make sure every pet is comfortable and taken care of. What was equally impressive is how gentle each dog that stays there is - calm yet playful, Chester was able to have fun and play with other dogs in the most wonderful environment. It was truly a holiday for him and he will most definitely be back for another stay soon. I would highly recommend Ark to anyone looking for a place for their furbaby to stay during a holiday/trip. Their personalized care and attention to every detail, coupled with their very genuine love for dogs will give you peace of mind that your dog is in the very best care!

Thank you so much to Tracy and Kristy who looked after our little yorkie Fusilli while we were away. We are so happy to leave him with the most caring and lovely people! I’m so thankful we found them, they take such good care of our little boy! Would highly recommend your fur babies to go there. They won’t find any better place! We look forward to the next time Fusilli has a little holiday with Tracy and Kristy 😊

Our dogs have now spent many nights at Ark Doggy Resort and will definitely keep going back! They always receive fantastic care and enjoy their holiday, and the daily video updates allow us to relax and enjoy our time away knowing the dogs are happy and well looked after.

This place is simply amazing. The care and attention Tracy and her team have for the dogs surpasses all my expectations. Our dog is truly having a vacation there mingling with his friends all day. Tracy sends video about the dogs and how they are doing. A top notch boarding kennel which would translate in a 5star resort for people. Fantastic!!!!
